Organic, pretty & unique - I Feel Pretty, Santa Fe - A keepsake you can treasure now!
In 2000 I started working on learning the skill of jewelry design, spending hours in bead shops, taking classes, trying all kinds of designs and soon multiple pieces started to flow out from my kitchen table.
In 2006, I began the jewelry design & fabrication and metal smithing program at SFCC, in Visual Arts. I continue to attend ongoing education in the program as well as apprenticing as a bench metalsmith for a successful Jewelry Designer - Kristin Lora.
Previously, I have always mixed a strong technology background with the unquestionable need to create art. After completing two years of study in Electronic Engineering @ UNR,I joyfully re-located to Huntington Beach, CA to complete my studies in the ‘Art mixed with Tech’ degrees of Commercial Music/Recording Arts & Fine Arts. Following that, I continued to find myself mixing my strong creative urges with technical aspects.
Interestingly, for as much tech as has been in my background, I consider myself & my style much more ‘organic.’ Living in Santa Fe for the past decade has ben such a joy and has a wonderful impact on my style & relationship with jewelry. I am blessed to know & mix with many other jewelers of all levels, have my own studio where I can work anytime and where I continue to be exposed to new styles, techniques & challenges.
I have a deep love for Turquoise (mostly domestic, some rare), fine Silver (of all kinds), Lampwork or ‘Art Glass’ beads & semi-precious Gemstones. One element or combination, of these usually find their way in to most of my pieces.
I've always felt very close to what naturally makes one 'feel pretty,' I hope you find yourself feeling that way as well, in one of my designs! A keepsake you can treasure now.
